Which problems should be uncovered, which hypotheses should be tested?

e.g. observation protocols, videos, notes, questionnaires

e.g. per person, task or test phase

Missing data, recording errors, unclear notes

Qualitative evaluation

e.g. per task, per screen or per heuristic

e.g. comprehensibility, interaction design, feedback

Which problems occurred repeatedly?

e.g. 'Did not find it' vs. actual click paths

e.g. technical problems, nervousness, test design effects

Quantitative evaluation (if collected)

Comparison with benchmarks or preliminary studies

e.g. SUS score, AttrakDiff dimensions

e.g. high dissatisfaction with long search times

Documentation & derivations

Increases comprehensibility for the development team

e.g. Nielsen rating, color code, cost-benefit matrix

e.g. redesign, different order, additional notes

e.g. contradictory statements, unclear causes

Clear, visual presentation for stakeholders
